Newest Update on Jaxon the Labadoodle:
Sue:
Just writing to let you know, Jaxon is doing great. Cooper, Jaxon and myself went on a road trip to Indianapolis where the boys got to meet their six cousins, Izabella, Duncan, Rosie, Issace, Sonny, Sawyer and their Uncle Eddie and Aunt Chris. As you can see by the picture of them walking with Uncle Eddie, they got along GREAT!. Izzie can not walk with the group so she takes her walks in the wagon (she is currently under going chemo). I wanted you to see that he is doing great, Cooper and I love him. I tell everyone, it was just meant to be.
Take Care
Thank you again
Nancy

Pocket loves her new home! She isn't spoiled at all, is she??
One of our puppy adoptions this past weekend.
Tully is happy being spoiled rotten!!!
BELLA
Sue,
I wanted to take the time to let you know how great Bella has been for our family! When we saw her Saturday the boys feel in love (even Dad, which is harder then you think) and you were great in letting us bring her home right away. The time you took to teach the boys how to correct her and to get her to sit is so much appreciated. They have truly taken the lead in being her owners and have quoted you many times. She has brought us so much joy and I am writing to let you know that we definitely want to keep her.
It has been quite a year for us and Bella is our healing dog and I just wanted to share that. My husband has been out of work for over a year now and while we try to keep the kids lives normal sometimes it is hard. On Christmas day my husbands father passed away and we didn't really get a chance to celebrate the holidays. And over the last few months, my sister (who lives with us) had to put her cocker spaniel down and just two weeks ago we have to put our lab down (both due to old age but still very difficult). So our little Bella has been such a blessing and is truly the light at the end of our tunnel.
They boys had been playing with her non-stop and my daughter is just beside herself at the attention she gets when walking her (as any 10-year old girl wants). I just wanted to share with you how much we appreciate what your organization does and how not only did you rescue Bella but us.
Thank you so much and please let me know what we need to to to finalize everything to make Bella officially a member of the family. (Last name taken out)

"BIG CAT" formerly "KingTut"
Its been almost a year that we adopted Big Cat, I think he had the name in the shelter as King Tut. Well, he is very much loved in our home, and so spoiled. Just wanted to say thankyou for all the hard work you do Sue and to keep it up!!

JAXON The Goldendoodle

Jaxon likes his pool to play in

Sue:
Attached are a couple of pictures of him in the pool, so funny, doesn’t do a lot for his hairdo.
Also, yesterday was Jaxon’s birthday; we celebrated with an ice cream cake.
He is a wonderful young man, and we love him so much.
I can’t Thank you enough for what you do and for allowing Jaxon to be a part of our family.
Thanks
Nancy

Hi Sue:
This is Jaxon’s mom. I have attached a couple of pictures of Jaxon and his brothers Cody and Cooper. He sure is a happy guy and full of energy. I am glad the weather is finally turning nice, Jax and Cooper seem to think the couch is the wrestling mat. He is a funny boy and is adjusting well. I often look into his eyes and wonder what he is thinking, and I pray he loves his new home and family because we sure love him. The day I picked Jaxon up, I explained to him about Cody, “he is older and he needs to respect him”, he must have understood every word I said, because from day one, he has treated Cody as the Alpha with all the respect in the world. Now he and Cooper are another story, they play harder than any two I have ever seen, can’t wait to get the pool out for them. Again, we thank you for allowing us to make Jaxon a part of our family.
Love Nancy, Cody, Cooper and Jaxon

We enjoy her very much... and I would like to tell you Thank You... Kelly
Sparky's new human mommy picked him up today! Be good Sparky, don't potty in the house!
Even though these kids were being very loving and careful with their new little kitty, the kitty seemed very pleased to be picked up and carried around. I think he will make a very good children's kitty!

One of our Vounteers, Barb rescued 3 cats. 2 of them were able to go to the same home together, they were named Cheese & Crackers. See the email about them below:
Hi Sue,
Thought I'd send you a photo of Brenda with Crackers. Cheese is still camera shy & was too busy playing with his EmeryCat to be bothered with us people but he's gained 1 1/2 lbs (so has Crackers) & his vet is very happy with his progress. He is a one-person cat & Crackers is an attention hog but everyone that meets them are just thrilled Brenda was able to get both of them. She said she has pictures of him so she'll be sending me copies.
Thanks again for letting her adopt them. They are well taken care of & loved.

TANNER

This is Tanner and his brother Ernie. Tanner went through 2 previous adoptions before finding his forever home and his brother. They are now inseparable. Tanner loves his new family a lot and their huge backyard where he can run and play with his brother Ernie. He is 1 happy boy!!!! Read the email from his new mommy:
Hello again,
Steve and I had a talk last night and after spending the afternoon with the boys and Tanner is just SO sweet – we’d like to officially adopt him. Can you mail the papers for us so we can get him licensed under us and we want to get him microchipped as well. They are LOVING the snow! There are drifts higher then they are tall and they go behind the drift and then leap right into it – I’m taking pictures – I’ll send some as soon as I can. Also last night I learned that Tanner likes to snuggle! He is just a big huge baby
We had Tanner in Ernie’s kennel and Ernie slept on the floor and all of us were in the room together last night. And it worked out perfect. They play so hard they just crash. We are so happy and lucky to have found him!
Thank you Sue!
Update 1/14/10 on "Lady" formerly Baby Lynn
BABY LYNN: Baby Lynn is doing great in her new home, she lives in Lincoln and has fit right into her new life. Read the email from her new family:
Susan,
We couldn't be happier in our newest addition, she just fits so perfectly in our lives! My husband had stood his ground for 3 yrs. about getting another dog, but when he saw baby lynn's picture he melted. Am happy to say it has been love at first sight for all of us. I do have another question, on her paperwork it has Lilly then Baby Lynn as her name. Did she ever go by Lilly? She doesn't seem to respond very quickly to Baby Lynn but my husband started calling her Lady and she responds very quickly to that. He called her Lady because in his words " she is the most polite, well mannered, dog he's ever seen and that Tom Jones sang a song that suits her well...'She's A Lady' And your right, she does talk / cry. I had to leave for a couple hours this afternoon and then Mark had to leave for work before I got back and he said before he ever got to his truck she was crying so loud he thought there was literally a little girl in the house. We had planned to leave her in the laundry room but he said he couldn't stand it so let her back in the house where she sit on the back of the couch watching for me. It is so nice to come home and be greeted by those beautiful eyes! And she VERY much likes the car rides and walks around the neighborhood.
Thank You for keeping our girl until we could find each other.
Glenda and Mark
Tearis: She is the one on the left and was a special adoption to the right person only. This is her new owner Brandon and her new fur-brother Mac. The 2 German Shepherds are getting to know each other by running and playing on 10 acres.
SHEP: Very sadly, his owner had no choice but to give him up. He is a sweet boy that needed a new home. We didn't know enough about him to just adopt him out to anyone, so we sent him to a foster home. They might just keep him, he is adjusting well and seems to love being with people all the time.
Update on Shep: he is doing very well, adjusting to his new surroundings and new people. He is just a really nice, sweet boy that wants to be loved. He has found he likes to be inside the office with Foster mom Julie and even though he had found a way out of the fenced area, he didn't take off but stayed right there. Sunday we do an doggie intro with the other resident dog "Mara" who herself is a very large beautiful German Shepherd . Pray this goes well.
9/17/09 Shep has settled in with his foster family, he is there to stay! He loves his new family and being able to run around their property, and bark at the squirrels!
1/14/10 Mara & Shep love each other so much!!!
